The pet ramp was well designed and sturdy, functions as described. Bear in mind that the price is half that of similar ramps on the market, the value proposition is excellent. That being said, the plywood is economy grade and the surface finish is rough. I recommend sanding the edges before use, just go over the cut surfaces with 320-400 grit sandpaper. You should also round the corners with 120-180 grit sandpaper before smoothing with 320-400 grit. This would only take you 1-2 hours and $5 worth of sandpaper you could buy at any home improvement store. Considering how much cheaper this ramp is, the finishing is acceptable. A little sanding is not a problem considering I saved $300+ over a comparable item.
